Does HydraFacial improve acne?
Yes, the specifically formulated glysal boosters and 6-step HydraFacial is great for acne and regulating oily, congested skin. At Cosmetology Hub, I would often combine this with a treatment plan to drive your mild acne congestion, blocked pores, blackheads, excess oil production and refining the texture of the skin.
You will see a brighter, plumping effect almost immediately following the treatment. However, each individuals natural healing process varies, and over a period of 4-8 weeks following the treatment, you will slowly start to see greater results.

How does HydraFacial work?
The treatment consist of a 6 step process;
1. Detox – lymphatic drainage increases circulation and blood flow bringing oxygen to support the cells to eliminate toxins.
2. Cleanse and exfoliation – dissolving dead skin with a serum containing lactic acid, glucosamine and botanical extracts to deep cleanse.
3. Brightening agent – GlySal peel contains Glycolic and Salicylic acid to loosen debris from the pores ready for extraction whilst brightening complexion.
4. Extraction – Blackheads and congestion are removed with a serum containing Salicylic acid and honey extract to sooth the skin.

How do I take care of my skin after the HydraFacial?
• You may experience redness after treatment which usually subsides within 24 hours.
• Occasionally there can be dryness and flaking after 2-3 days – moisturise well and symptoms will subside in 1-2 days.
• If unusual irritation occurs contact your HydraFacialist.
• Use sunscreen alongside your recommended skincare routine.
• Avoid hot showers / hot baths/ sauna/ steam 72 hours post treatment.
• Avoid fake tan/sunbeds altogether if possible but minimal 2 weeks post treatment.
• No peels / microdermabrasion/ needling/ dermaplaning for 2 weeks post treatment.
• No hair waxing/threading/facial bleaching for 2 weeks post treatment.
• No laser hair removal for 1 month before and after treatments.
• Do not pick, peel or scratch the skin.
• Schedule your treatments 4 weekly for best results.
How will I know which booster is best for me?
You will be assessed during your consultation to tailor your treatment to your individual needs. Skin goals will be discussed before the treatment is performed.
How often should I book in?
Monthly is suggested to increase cell turnover, keep the skin youthful and achieve optimal skin health. If you suffer with acne treatment is suggested every 2 weeks for best results.
