LED Light Therapy with the award winning Celluma® Pro available at Cosmetology Hub

Celluma® is an award-winning medical device, FDA-Cleared and CE-Certified to cover a variety of skin, muscles, joint and pain conditions. Celluma® can improve your health and make you look and feel years younger.

Light emitting diode therapy (LED therapy) was first introduced by NASA for plant growth experiments. It quickly evolved in the 1990’s to treat and regenerate injured wounds and damaged muscle tissue for the U.S Navy SEALs. Over a period of time, a number of tests by dermatologists and scientists concluded the anti-inflammatory benefits of LED light therapy on things such as acne treatment, acne scarring, breakouts, pain management and the significant benefits of its anti-ageing properties.

LED Therapy is a good option for those who have tried over-the-counter products without much success. It’s often used to treat anything from improving circulation and a healthier glow, to deeper concerns such as acne treatment, breakouts, and treatment of acne pimples. Often I will combine colours such as red LED light therapy and blue LED light therapy to decrease acne scarring for specific skin types.

What is Celluma Pro?
Light therapy promotes a photobiochemical reaction like the process of plant photosynthesis. The energy delivered by the LEDs has been shown to enhance cellular metabolism, accelerate the repair and replenishment of damaged cells, stimulate the production of collagen which is the foundation of healthy, smooth skin.
What are the benefits of Celluma Pro?
Research has shown that LED light therapy may help smooth skin texture, improve skin firmness and resilience, increase lymphatic system activity, restore skin’s natural cellular activity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and superficial hyperpigmentation.
Is it safe for all skin types?
The treatment is for all skin types, and is non-ablative, non-invasive, painless, and requires absolutely no downtime. Patients or clients can return to their normal activity immediately after the treatment.
What is the purpose of light therapy?
Based on extensive research, low-level light therapy devices have been cleared by the FDA, and shown to manage the following conditions?
  • Mild – moderate acne vulgaris
  • Superficial, benign vascular and pigment lesions
  • Periorbital wrinkles and rhytides
  • Sub-optimal local blood flow and circulation
  • Used post treatment to reduce redness
How safe is light therapy?
Low-level light therapy is based on light emitting diode (LED)technology  developed for NASA. In comparison to lasers, the patented technology generates negligible amounts of heat and is not
considered a significant risk device.
How Close should Celluma be placed to the treatment area?
Position Celluma as close to your skin as possible, the closer the better. One key advantage to Celluma is its patented flexible design, which allows for close positioning to the skin, and may lead to more effective results.
Does light therapy utilise UV light?
No. Celluma utilises a combination of blue, red and near infrared (not visible to the naked eye) light emitting diodes (LEDs) only.
